The video, captured by security cameras inside the Rankin County jail, shows guard Jordan McQueary striking an inmate, Dustin Rives, during his 2022 stay in the jail.

Armed Felon Arrested After Vehicle Pursuit Another UCSO narcotics distribution investigation concluded with the recent arrest of 39-year-old Brent Rankin of Hamlet, NC. Narcotics detectives arrested Rankin in the Monroe area after he fled from an attempted traffic stop. A short vehicle pursuit ensued, during which Rankin abandoned his car and tried to flee on foot.
